 During the spring lockdown self-portraits became my everyday practice. Willing to identify oneself, not to dissolve, capture one’s image – this is the nature of selfie. Here I see the similarity with faded photos of the past, mysterious and gloomy black-and-white fairy-tale, where people a silent and still, like ancient cliffs. Leaving my imprint, processing my selfie through filters, I create my avatar that can travel through centuries and exist in this dimension, meanwhile I am prisoned by the present.
