tearsa series of sculptures as part of the project "sleep, fall asleep"ceramicsIn the project, I explore the process of falling asleep through the practice of lulling and the change of seasons in the space of northern nature. The spring thaw of the ice is like tears after a long silence, after which a peaceful sleep follows. Holding the ice in your hands, you warm it with your warmth, and it turns into teardrops, watering the earth, on which the first flowers – dreams – appear.
The cold winter lasts too long, but spring eventually comes, and the first spring flower appears, surviving the winter under the snow and cold wind.
You stay cold and silent for a long time, and then the ice melts, and tears break out. You cry like a river in three streams, reaching out to your mother, she strokes your head and softly sings. You fall asleep in her arms. The tears dry up, and in their place, colorful dreams grow like the first flowers.
